Facebook links supported by FastVid
FastVid checks recognized Facebook hosts and asks the media gateway for formats that are publicly available. Support describes URL recognition, not permission to reuse a creator's media.

Public video posts
Standard facebook.com video pages and public posts containing a video are supported when the media opens without a login. Mobile and web variants are normalized by the gateway when the underlying post is public.
The result can vary by upload. FastVid displays the qualities and formats returned for that specific link and does not invent missing resolutions.
Facebook Reels
Public facebook.com/reel links are supported. Use the link copied from the Reel's Share menu. A Reel from a restricted profile or audience remains unavailable even if it appears in your logged-in feed.
Audio is included when it is present in the available format. Some quality variants may require rendering before the combined file is ready.
fb.watch and share links
FastVid recognizes fb.watch short links and supported Facebook share links, including common share video patterns. These links redirect to a final post before formats can be checked.
If a redirect has expired or leads to a login wall, open the link in a browser and copy the final public video URL instead.
Watch and completed public live videos
Public Watch pages can work when they resolve to an accessible video. A completed live broadcast may work after Facebook publishes it as a normal replay and the source exposes downloadable formats.
FastVid does not promise to capture an active live stream. Wait until the broadcast ends and use the public replay URL if the owner makes one available.
Links that are not supported
Friends-only posts, private groups, login-only videos, deleted media, inaccessible Stories and content blocked by age, region or rights restrictions are not supported by the public workflow.
FastVid does not ask for a Facebook account, cookie or token and does not bypass an audience control. Public URL recognition must not be confused with private access.
How compatibility is verified
FastVid maintains URL validation and gateway tests for recognized Facebook hosts, format normalization, direct downloads and render jobs. Real-world link patterns can change, so the review date is shown on this page.
Report a public link pattern that consistently fails through the contact page. Remove personal tracking parameters when possible and never include credentials.
