Facebook video downloads on iPhone and Android
FastVid runs in a modern browser, so you do not need a separate downloader app. The main difference between devices is where the browser places the file after download.

What you need
Use a current version of Safari, Chrome or another modern browser with enough free storage for the video. Copy a public Facebook video or Reel URL before opening FastVid.
The source controls the available resolution and audio. A phone cannot create a higher-quality file than the result returned for that Facebook post.
Download on iPhone or iPad
Open FastVid in Safari, paste the Facebook link and choose Download. Select a direct format or wait for a render task when the selected format requires preparation. Safari shows download progress near the address bar.
Open the Files app and check iCloud Drive or On My iPhone, then Downloads. To place an MP4 in Photos, open the file, choose Share and select Save Video when that action is available.
Download on Android
Open FastVid in Chrome, paste the link and choose a returned format. Chrome normally saves the file in the Downloads folder. You can open it from the download notification, Files app or a compatible gallery app.
If Android asks whether FastVid can download a file, approve only after checking the filename and source. You do not need to install an APK or grant access to your Facebook account.
When the video opens in a tab
Some browser and media-host combinations open an MP4 player instead of starting a download. Use the browser menu, its download icon, or press and hold the video to see the save action provided by your device.
Do not repeatedly tap the button while a render job is processing. Wait for the ready state, then choose Download once.
Storage and playback issues
A failed save can be caused by low storage, an interrupted connection or a browser download permission. Free space, keep the tab open during processing and retry once with the original public link.
MP4 is widely supported, but a particular codec may not play in every gallery app. Try the system Files app or another trusted player before downloading the file again.
