Privacy Policy
This policy explains the data used to operate FastVid, the providers involved and the choices available to visitors.
Effective: July 20, 2026
Scope and controller
This policy applies to FastVid.net, its public-link and authorized private-source workflows, render and download endpoints, consent preferences and messages sent to contact@fastvid.net. FastVid is an independent service and is not affiliated with Facebook or Meta.
Questions about this policy or a privacy request can be sent to contact@fastvid.net.
Data processed for a download request
When you submit a link, FastVid processes the URL, detected platform, selected action and media metadata returned for the active request. The private Facebook workflow also processes the source HTML you deliberately paste. Technical logs can include time, IP-derived network information, user agent, response status, error code and request identifier.
Never submit passwords, session cookies, access tokens, authentication headers, unrelated personal data or source from a page you are not authorized to process. The public workflow does not need source HTML.
Purposes and legal bases
Request data is used to validate supported hosts, retrieve available formats, protect the service, diagnose failures and deliver a requested file. Depending on your location, these purposes rely on performing the requested service and our legitimate interests in security and reliability.
Optional analytics is used only according to the consent choice presented in the browser where required.
Providers and external requests
FastVid uses Cloudflare infrastructure, a configured media gateway, media hosts and download or render services needed for the request. Submitted links, authorized private source HTML and technical data can be processed by these providers under their own security and retention practices.
A request can cause communication with Facebook, Meta, their content-delivery networks or another media host. FastVid does not control those independent services.
Storage and retention
FastVid does not present a visitor-facing download history. Signed actions and render tasks are designed to be temporary. Infrastructure and providers can retain security or operational logs for their configured periods.
Contact messages are retained as needed to respond, maintain a record of the request, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
Cookies and browser storage
The browser can store a theme preference and consent choice. Google Analytics may be loaded after the applicable consent choice. Browser controls can clear stored preferences or block optional analytics.
Essential storage supports preferences and does not give FastVid access to a Facebook account.
Your rights
Depending on local law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability for personal data FastVid actually holds. You may also withdraw analytics consent for future processing.
We may need to verify that a request concerns you. Rights can be limited by security, legal obligations and the absence of identifiable retained data.
Security and children
FastVid uses HTTPS, input validation, host allowlists and signed temporary actions. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit confidential account information.
FastVid is not directed to children under the minimum age required in their location. A parent or guardian can contact us about a relevant concern.
