Can I download any Instagram Reel?
FastVid can process a public Reel when the source makes its media available. Paste the Reel URL, choose Download, and use the file action shown in the result. Removed, private, or restricted Reels may fail.
Does the Reel keep its audio?
Audio is kept when the source response includes an audio track with the Reel. Check the result card before downloading because availability can differ between Reels and some responses may contain video only.
Can I download a private Reel?
Not with this Reels downloader. It cannot access private posts or bypass account permissions. Use the private workflow only when you are authorised to access and save the content.
Can I download the Reel thumbnail?
Yes, when the source returns a thumbnail with the Reel. The result card then shows a separate Download Thumbnail action alongside the video download.
Will Instagram notify the creator?
FastVid does not send a creator notification when you use the downloader. You are still responsible for respecting the creator's copyright, privacy, and permission requirements when saving or sharing a Reel.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Reels that FastVid can access do not require a FastVid account or Instagram login. FastVid does not ask for your password, cookies, or access token.
Why did a Reel stop working?
Check that the Reel still plays publicly and that you copied its complete original URL. A deleted, private, expired, or restricted Reel may not return media, and a temporary provider issue can also cause a valid link to fail. Try copying the link again if the post is still available.
